Alpine Solar

Alpine Solar was one of the first large-scale solar projects built in Los Angeles. The 66 MW can provide enough power to 53,000 homes annually. The site is critical due to the elimination of the emission of approximately 36,000 tons of carbon dioxide. As you can see, this site is substantial to keep the environment safe while providing power to homes in the area. AISG was brought on to protect the safety of the site. Being a remote makes this a prime location for attacks cyber and physical. AISG has a team of in-house designers and engineers who have vast experience in providing safety to the energy industry. Keeping NERC compliance and regulations in mind, the team created a plan to provide complete perimeter protection. Installation of access control to monitor who is entering the site monitored through AISG’s 24/7 central station. Cameras are placed all around on solar power poles with fiber communication to ensure no one is getting in without our knowledge. Perimeter intrusion detection was implemented to provide Alpine Solar with a complete security solution to ensure the safety of the perimeter.
