The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) is committed to ensuring staff and students are well protected through upgrading security systems throughout the school district with newer technology and services provided by AISG. To provide a safe environment for teaching and learning, AISG utilizes intrusion alarm devices and in-house designed commercial-grade alarm systems, covering up to 250 alarm points per school. AISG alarms all doors and windows to create a locked-down alarmed facility. The alarm system also secures the schools after hours. Access control systems are used for school elevators with access control cards. An additional system was installed to provide access control for several elevator bays in the same school with different access levels, for the ability to control each elevator separately and only be used with approved access control cards. Both teachers and students are protected with only the best technology to deliver the safest learning facility.
