Approximately 2,000 acres, Garland Solar in Kern County, California, has more than 800,000 polycrystalline PV modules. Garland brought in AISG to ensure the safety of the site. Covering over 102,000 ft of fencing, access control was installed with a video intercom and locked gates at multiple points of entry. IP-based video surveillance cameras – including thermal day/night cameras that can detect a human a half-mile away. Combined with perimeter alarm and 24/7 surveillance monitoring services from AISG’s central monitoring center. For complete perimeter coverage, solar-powered poles are located around the perimeter with industrial network switches and wireless adapters. Safeguarding this vast and expansive locations, against theft and terrorism is paramount to AISG.
