PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
SOME DETAILS
Located on thousands of acres in a remote area, California Valley Solar Ranch, in San Luis Obispo County, California, with the nearest hotel being more than an hour away. The site consists of several land arrays surrounded by more than 19 miles of perimeter fencing. The 250-megawatt central station photovoltaic solar power plant generates power for more than 100,000 homes. The renewable energy site consists of more than 749,000 solar panels and offsets more than 336,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions. AISG was chosen to ensure the safety of the site because of our knowledge in federal and state regulations, in-house design and engineering, and vast experience in developing security solutions for the energy industry. IP-based video surveillance cameras were deployed, including thermal day/night cameras that can detect a human a half-mile away. Combined with perimeter alarm and 24/7 surveillance monitoring services from AISG’s central monitoring center. This solar power is monitored at all times; safeguarding this vast and expansive locations, against theft and terrorism.
