PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
SOME DETAILS
West Virginia’s new wind farm, Black Rock Wind Farm, is increasing power by 15%. The 23 wind turbines on 107.5-meter towers produce 115 MW of electricity. This site is critical due to the elimination of the emission of approximately 298,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide. As you can see, this site is substantial to keep the environment safe while providing power to 34,000 homes in the area. Black Rock Wind Farms entrusted AISG for security; a few challenges ahead were strict safety regulations, high voltage, and cold weather; AISG was prepared. The team of in-house designers and engineers equipped with vast experience in providing safety to the energy industry; kept CIP compliance and regulations in mind. The team created a plan to provide complete perimeter protection while following safe work practices for high voltage and providing the technology to handle a cold environment. The installation of video surveillance throughout the facility with perimeter intrusion detection will ensure everyone who enters will need to enter through the main entries. All main entries are equipped with access control systems and a video intercom, monitored by AISG 24/7 central station, which grants access and keeps a log of who accesses the different areas or the property. AISG ensures the safety of the perimeter while providing the technology needed to withstand cold weather conditions.
