PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
SOME DETAILS
Within its manufacturing facility in Thief River Falls, MN, Arctic Cat needs to upgrade security, asking AISG to interconnect the main manufacturing facility and the remote salvage building/storage area; plus cover everything in between the two buildings. Arctic Cat assembles ATVs, snowmobiles and other recreational vehicles round the clock with three shifts of employees coming and going. High res surveillance cameras are installed at the main employee parking lot and other areas throughout the 20-acre complex. Arctic Cat wants to be able to monitor the entrances at the plant and surveillance at each site remotely. Distance is the challenge for interconnecting the system into one head end and the client insists on no trenching in the parking lot. Fortunately, AISG can use existing fiber in these areas. AISG creates the network for the new IP cameras and for processing data and generating reports. UPS battery backup is also provided. High end equipment is installed starting with a server for video management and the network switch setup. A host of 35 different types of 5 megapixel and 12 megapixel IP cameras are employed, including: 360°, dome, fixed, bullet and p/t/z models.
